PAX Unplugged is so full of unique and random games that come from every corner of the universe. Some of these games are so unique, they deserve their own special shoutout – and that’s what you’ll find on this page. Be sure to poke around our schedule at the bottom of this page, between panels. Tournaments, special events, and everything else we have going on, there’s sure to be something that seems like it was scheduled just for you.
DECEPTION ZONE
The only thing better than fooling your friends is fooling a group of complete strangers. The Deception Zone in Room 119 hosts a variety of social deduction and deception games all weekend long, featuring Blood on the Clocktower and more. Seats are reserved through registration tickets, available in-person each morning at the Deception Zone.
JUBENSHA
We’ve got a room dedicated to the new murder mystery live play sensation out of China. This genre became popular in China in the late 2010s and has been described as a “mix of Cluedo, Werewolf and LARP”. KMS Games is flying all the way from Singapore to run these special events, check out the details here.
VHS GAMES
Any gamer thriving in the 90’s knows there was a time where the board game industry took a multi-media approach. Before there were chapters on a DVD to flip to, or QR codes gleaming in anyone’s phone camera, there were VHS tapes. On occasion, we’ll be lucky enough to come across these games to share with PAX fans young and old, where we can reminisce in the time of CRT TV’s with a built in VCR to play videos to your hearts content.
In 2025, we’re excited to share that Star Trek: The Next Generation’s VHS game A Klingon Challenge will be screening in our Learn & Play room on a MEGA screen for everyone’s enjoyment. Your Saturday night just took a jump to warp speed. Add this to your schedule here!
