STORYTIME KEYNOTE

Each PAX begins with our traditional opening ceremony, Storytime from an industry luminary. Leaders in gaming; be they developers, influencers, artists, designers, or other related expertise in this space, have regaled PAX attendees with the story of their lives and how they cemented their place in the annals of game culture.

Our 2024 Storytime Speaker is a board game designer inspired by a love of nature and a desire to play games that break away from tried-and-true themes. Her first game, Wingspan, won the 2019 Kennerspiel des Jahres, a prestigious award in the Board Game industry highlighting excellence in play. Since then her games have explored systems including monarch butterfly migration (Mariposas), fox domestication (The Fox Experiment), and mycorrhizal trading relationships (Undergrove). We can’t wait to explore the forest of gaming experiences she’ll be bringing to our opening Storytime on Friday, December 6.
